Your voice never leaves your phone. Here's exactly what WordBan does and doesn't collect.

What we collect

The only things WordBan saves — locally on your device, never transmitted — are the banned words/phrases you type in, your chosen recognition language, your sound/vibration settings, and a couple of counters used to occasionally offer an in-app store-review prompt.

Microphone & speech recognition

WordBan requests on-device-only speech recognition through Android's built-in speech services. Audio and transcripts are never recorded, stored, or transmitted — they exist only in memory while a challenge is running, and are discarded the moment it ends.

Crash and error reports

WordBan sends no automatic crash or error reports. The app contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDK, and it does not talk to any server operated by us — there is no server. If the app misbehaves, tell us what happened via the support page and we will investigate from your description.

Third-party services

WordBan uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDK. Speech recognition runs through Android's own built-in speech services, requested in on-device-only mode — no cloud speech API of ours is involved.

Security

Since nothing WordBan handles ever leaves your device, there is no remote database of your banned words or speech to secure or breach.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a revised date.
